Everybody that's tasted this has always asked me to give them the recipe, but I've rarely given it out... now I'm sharing it with you! It's really a very simply combo of ingredients, but it really adds that great flavorful punch to burgers & other grilled sandwiches.
Curry powder is actually a blend of up to 20 spices, herbs & seeds. Widely used in Indian cooking, authentic Indian curry powder is freshly ground each day & will vary dramatically depending on the region & the cook. This is my original curry powder recipe. Easy to make & tastes extremely better than the commercial curry powder you buy in the supermarket. Use in any recipe that calls for curry powder.
Yield: a little over 1 cup
I created this salad in the mid 1970's for an "Ecology Themed" pot luck dinner. Over the years it has evolved to incorporate more modern & healthful ingredients and has become my Signature Salad Dish. It's an especially fun salad for St. Patrick's Day & Earth Day.
This is one of my favorite soups, especially in the Fall & Winter months! Not only are all the ingredients healthy for you on so many levels, but it's very creamy, so delicious & easy to make. I love to serve this with warmed up, crusty, multigrain rolls & butter.
Serves: 3 to 4 as a light meal or 4 to 6 as a starter

Za'atar is a spice blend found in many Middle Eastern dishes & is uniquely earthy, savory & extremely aromatic. This dish I created is very popular at my house. I mostly serve it in the spring, summer & early fall months, as it is at it's best when served barely warm or at room temperature.
Earthy & creamy is the best way to describe this delectable meal. You can prepare everything in advance, cover & refrigerate, then cook it up in no time at all. In my house there's never any leftovers... what does that tell you?!

This recipe has a lot of ingredients, but comes together quickly & makes a great summertime meal. This also makes 4 to 5 delicious chicken salad sandwiches on your favorite bread. Whenever possible use organic ingredients.

It's hard to pick a favorite recipe in a category, but because I make this more often than any other chicken dish & I actually get cravings for it, I'll have to say this is my favorite. I almost always pair this chicken with Jasmine Rice (see recipe in Rice & Grains category) & a vegetable or a side salad. There's something about the combination of the tangy chicken along with the nutty flavor of the Jasmine Rice that always gets my mouth watering!
